2025 Promises a Rich Harvest of Country Music: July Delivers Major Releases from Outlaw Poets to Debut Artists

Get ready for a landmark year in country music as 2025 shapes up to be a pivotal period for new releases, with July poised to become a particularly significant month for fans. The genre is bracing for a wave of highly anticipated albums, showcasing a diverse range of established artists and promising newcomers.

Cody Jinks, hailed as one of country music’s last outlaw poets, is set to unveil his thirteenth studio album, titled “In The Blood.” Slated for release on July 25th via Late August Records, this 11-track collection follows his successful 2024 offering, “Change the Game.” Jinks continues to carve his path as a unique voice in the genre, known for his raw lyricism and independent spirit.

Joining Jinks on the July 25th release schedule is Hudson Westbrook, who will debut his highly anticipated first album, “Texas Forever.” This extensive 17-track record is deeply rooted in Westbrook’s Texas upbringing, aiming to encapsulate his origins while forging a relatable sound for a wider audience. The album is a testament to his dedication, as Westbrook has co-written every song, weaving in a blend of previously released fan favorites with entirely new material. The project signifies a major milestone for the emerging artist, offering a comprehensive introduction to his musical identity.

Another major arrival on July 25th is Tyler Childers’ seventh studio album, “Snipe Hunter.” Released through Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records, this 13-song project is generating considerable buzz among fans, who are eagerly awaiting the official studio versions of beloved live staples. Tracks such as “Nose On The Grindstone” and “Oneida” are expected to be featured, providing a polished rendition of songs that have already captured the hearts of his dedicated following.

The excitement for July’s releases extends beyond the 25th. Scotty McCreery is expected to drop his “Scooter and Friends EP” on July 18th, offering fans a taste of new music from the popular artist. McCreery’s EP is anticipated to be a highlight of the mid-month releases.

Further bolstering the July lineup, Trisha Yearwood’s new album, “The Mirror,” is also slated for release on July 18th. This marks another significant contribution from a legendary figure in country music. Also arriving on July 18th are new projects from Cam and Niko Moon, adding their unique flavors to the month’s offerings.

Earlier in the month, on July 11th, Sam Williams is set to release “Act II: Countrystar.” This release is poised to continue Williams’ exploration of his country roots and artistic evolution.

Adding to the collaborative spirit of the year, Jordan Davis’ upcoming album is confirmed to feature guest appearances from Carly Pearce and Marcus King. This collaboration highlights a deliberate approach to blending contemporary country sounds with a steadfast commitment to the genre’s core integrity, promising exciting musical chemistry and fresh interpretations.

The collective output planned for July 2025 signifies a vibrant period for country music, with established icons and rising stars alike preparing to share their latest creative endeavors. From the outlaw sensibilities of Cody Jinks and the deep-seated storytelling of Hudson Westbrook to the anticipated official releases from Tyler Childers and the diverse offerings from Scotty McCreery, Trisha Yearwood, Cam, Niko Moon, Sam Williams, and Jordan Davis, the month is shaping up to be a must-watch for anyone passionate about the evolving landscape of country music.
