Country Music’s Biggest Stars Ignite Summer 2025 with Major Tours and Festival Highlights

Country music is experiencing a dynamic and energetic summer in 2025, with major tours kicking off, festivals drawing record crowds, and established artists solidifying their influence. At the forefront, Morgan Wallen’s highly anticipated “I’m The Problem Tour” has officially begun, launching on June 20 in Houston. This marks Wallen’s significant return to large-scale performances after a two-year hiatus from major touring. The expansive 19-date stadium tour is in support of his latest album, also titled “I’m The Problem.” The tour is set to feature impressive collaborations, with Miranda Lambert, the legendary duo Brooks & Dunn, and the chart-topping Thomas Rhett slated to join Wallen on select dates.

Wallen’s electrifying setlist promises a mix of brand-new material, including the recently released track “Lies Lies Lies,” alongside his enduring fan favorites like the mega-hit “Last Night.” Audiences can expect a heightened visual experience, as the tour boasts advanced stage production designed to elevate the performance. Beyond the music, the “I’m The Problem Tour” is also dedicated to philanthropy, with a portion of the proceeds being directed to the Morgan Wallen Foundation. This foundation actively supports vital youth music and sports programs, underscoring Wallen’s commitment to giving back to the community.

The sheer scale of the “I’m The Problem Tour” serves as a powerful testament to Wallen’s enduring influence in the country music landscape, particularly in the wake of past controversies. His continued success highlights the genre’s remarkable capacity for artist redemption and the unwavering loyalty of its fanbase. The tour’s successful launch is a significant marker in a summer packed with country music’s most prominent artists.

Country Jam Colorado and Summerfest Milwaukee Add to Festival Frenzy

Adding to the summer’s robust schedule, the 28th annual Country Jam festival is set to take place in Grand Junction, Colorado, from June 26–28. This highly anticipated event will feature a stellar lineup of headliners, including country music staples Luke Bryan, rising star Bailey Zimmerman, and the dynamic Cody Johnson. The festival’s programming emphasizes the genre’s evolving sound and expanding boundaries, showcasing a diverse array of talent. Among the notable performers are veteran artist Tracy Lawrence, the beloved bluegrass-infused Flatland Cavalry, and rising vocalist Ashley Cooke, promising a rich and varied musical experience for attendees.

Meanwhile, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lainey Wilson, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, is scheduled to headline Summerfest on June 26. This performance is a key date on her own “Whirlwind Tour,” which is generating significant buzz. Wilson’s appearance at Summerfest coincides with the continued success of her critically acclaimed album, “Bell Bottom Country.” Her recent award and extensive touring schedule solidify her position as one of country music’s most compelling artists.

CMA Fest 2025 Concludes with Record Success and Generous Donation

The annual CMA Fest in Nashville, a cornerstone event for country music fans, concluded its 2025 edition on June 8, drawing an unprecedented record attendance of 300,000 people. The four-day festival showcased an impressive roster of over 400 artists across numerous stages throughout the city, cementing its reputation as the world’s largest country music festival. This year’s event also highlighted the genre’s commitment to music education, with the CMA Foundation announcing a substantial $2.5 million donation to support music education programs nationwide.

CMA Fest 2025 was widely lauded for its incredibly diverse and eclectic lineup, which successfully blended traditional country sounds with contemporary influences and emerging artists. Standout performances came from acts like the rapidly ascending Red Clay Strays and the genre-bending Shaboozey, both of whom have garnered significant attention for their unique contributions to the modern country sound. The festival’s success, both in terms of attendance and its charitable impact, reinforces the widespread appeal and vibrant evolution of country music.
