Luke Combs Drops ‘The Way I Am’ Album Today!

Shanice WilliamsShanice WilliamsMarch 20, 20262 Minutes read

Luke Combs has officially released his sixth studio album, “The Way I Am,” on March 20, 2026. This 22-song collection, a significant addition to his discography, was produced by Combs himself, along with Jonathan Singleton and Chip Matthews, who also collaborated on his previous album, “Fathers & Sons.” The album marks a significant moment for the artist, as it delves deeper into his personal reflections, touching on themes of family, self-doubt, and the balance of a global career with home life.

“The Way I Am” boasts a notable collaboration with the legendary bluegrass artist Alison Krauss on the track “Ever Mine.” Fans have also been treated to a series of preview singles leading up to the album’s release. These include “Back in the Saddle,” released on July 28, 2025, followed by “Days Like These” on November 10, 2025, and “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” on January 26, 2026. More recently, “Be By You” was released on February 13, 2026, and “I Ain’t No Cowboy” dropped on March 14, 2026, just a week before the full album’s debut. The song “I Ain’t No Cowboy” has a unique backstory, co-written by Combs with Cody Johnson and Jake Mears during their Australian tour in 2023, and it was even debuted live during that tour.

In conjunction with the album release, Combs is set to launch his extensive “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.” This tour will feature a massive run of stadium shows across the USA, UK, and Europe. Notably, the tour includes multiple sold-out nights at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, a milestone that solidifies Combs’ status as a major international headliner. The tour’s opening night is scheduled for March 21, 2026, in Las Vegas.

The production of “The Way I Am” aimed to showcase Combs’ powerful voice and storytelling abilities, balancing heartfelt vulnerability with anthemic energy. Across its 22 tracks, Combs explores a range of emotions and experiences, from the challenges of touring and balancing a career with family life, to personal reflections on self-doubt and self-belief. The album is Combs’ first full-length project since 2024’s “Fathers & Sons,” and it has been described as a long process that he is incredibly proud of.
