The Britt Festival has unveiled a significant expansion of its 2026 summer season, adding nine new performances that span a diverse range of genres, from alt-rock icons to chart-topping country artists, classic rock covers, bluegrass standouts, and two of the biggest names in stand-up comedy. This latest announcement solidifies Britt’s commitment to offering a comprehensive entertainment experience for all audiences, continuing its tradition of blending familiar favorites with exciting new additions.
Alt-Rock and Southern Rock Take the Stage
Alternative rock enthusiasts can anticipate the performance of Modest Mouse, a band known for its distinctive indie sound. Following them will be the gritty Southern rock of Whiskey Myers, promising a powerful live show. These additions cater to fans of harder-edged rock music, broadening the festival’s musical palette.
Country Crossover and Bluegrass Energy
The festival will also feature a strong showing in country and bluegrass music. Elle King and Brantley Gilbert are slated to perform, bringing their unique “signature blends of rock and country” to the Britt stage. Adding to the vibrant musical landscape, Greensky Bluegrass will present their high-energy, dance-inducing tunes, known for transforming traditional bluegrass into an electrifying modern performance.
Classic Rock Returns and Comedy Takes Center Stage
Fans of timeless hits will rejoice as the legendary rock band Chicago returns to Jacksonville for another night of their classic repertoire. Audiences will also have the opportunity to experience Classic Albums Live as they faithfully recreate the Eagles’ Greatest Hits, offering a nostalgic journey through iconic music. Complementing the musical offerings, Britt is excited to host two highly anticipated evenings of comedy featuring fan-favorite comedians Jeff Dunham and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. These comedy sets are expected to draw large crowds, highlighting Britt’s expansion into diverse live entertainment.
Community and Fundraising Gala
In addition to the packed performance schedule, Britt has set a save-the-date for its second annual “Britt Under The Stars Fundraising Gala” on September 10. This event is a crucial component of Britt’s community engagement, celebrating the power of music and the arts while also supporting the future development of the new Britt Headquarters located in the historic U.S. Hotel building.
