Country Music Powerhouses Dominate July Charts as New Stars Emerge

Rohan JoshiRohan JoshiJuly 6, 20252 Minutes read

Country music is experiencing a vibrant period, with established stars like Morgan Wallen continuing their chart dominance while emerging artists like Ella Langley are making significant waves. The latest country music charts, compiled through a comprehensive analysis of radio play, sales, streaming data, and fan votes, reveal a dynamic landscape for July 2025.

Wallen Reigns Supreme, New Talent Shines

Morgan Wallen maintains a formidable presence, holding the coveted #1 spot with his track “Just in Case.” His influence extends further, with an impressive four additional songs securing positions within the Top 40, underscoring his consistent appeal to country music fans. Alongside Wallen’s continued success, Ella Langley is rapidly ascending, with her song “Weren’t for the Wind” climbing to the #3 position. This significant chart performance has firmly established Langley as a breakout star to watch in the genre.

Further solidifying the top tier of the charts, the collaboration between Bailey Zimmerman and Luke Combs, “Backup Plan,” has successfully entered the Top 5, signaling a strong collaboration between two of country music’s most popular male artists.

Zach Bryan’s Surprise Release from London

In a move that has delighted fans, Zach Bryan has dropped three surprise tracks: “Streets of London,” “River Washed Hair,” and “Song for You.” These recordings were made at the legendary former London studio once owned by David Bowie, adding a unique historical resonance to the new music. Bryan described these songs as “tunes that didn’t belong on a record” but felt compelled to share with his audience. “Streets of London” serves as a direct homage to the city, while the other two tracks delve into more introspective themes.

This spontaneous release highlights Bryan’s prolific creative output and his deep connection with his fanbase. The release follows his highly successful, sold-out performances at BST Hyde Park, where he achieved the rare feat of playing two consecutive nights. Bryan is one of only five artists in history to have accomplished this milestone at the iconic venue, further cementing his status as a major force in contemporary music.

Trisha Yearwood and Cam Unveil New Projects

Veteran artist Trisha Yearwood is set to release her first fully self-written and co-produced project, titled “The Mirror,” on July 18th. Inspired by her personal journey and growth, the album features singles such as “Bringing the Angels.” Yearwood plans to promote “The Mirror” with notable appearances, including a performance at New York’s Town Hall and a showcase at the Nashville Symphony, offering fans an intimate look at her new material.

Coinciding with Yearwood’s release, Cam is also set to debut her new album, “All Things Light,” on the same day, July 18th. This project is expected to explore profound themes of motherhood and mortality, showcasing Cam’s continued artistic evolution.

Upcoming Stadium Shows and Publishing Deals

Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem Tour” is gearing up for major stadium shows, with dates scheduled for July 25th and 26th in Seattle. The tour continues to attract top-tier talent, with Miranda Lambert and Anne Wilson slated to open the first night. For the second Seattle show, Brooks & Dunn will join Anne Wilson on stage, promising an unforgettable concert experience for attendees.

In other industry news, emerging artist Jay Webb has secured a significant worldwide publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing. This announcement comes just ahead of the July 25th release of his album, “Where To Find Me.” Webb’s single “One More Shot” is already gaining attention for its compelling storytelling. The A&R head at Sony Music Publishing lauded Webb, describing him as “a superstar in the making,” signaling strong industry confidence in his future success.
