The Grand Ole Opry, the most revered stage in country music, is set to release a landmark new album, the **Opry 100 album**, a commemorative collection celebrating its momentous 100th anniversary. In partnership with Virgin Music Group, this exclusive Opry 100 album will feature 20 never-before-released live recordings, drawn from the Opry’s extensive archives and curated from a fan-voted list of the 100 greatest country songs of all time, making it a truly special country music album and a key part of the centennial celebration.

Set for worldwide release on November 7, 2025, the Opry 100 album arrives just weeks before the Grand Ole Opry officially marks its 100th anniversary on November 28, 2025. This release promises to be a historic addition to the centennial celebration, offering fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of country music history, captured live on the iconic Opry stage. This new album release is a highlight of the centennial celebration.

A Legacy Captured Live: The Opry 100 Album’s Greatest Country Songs

The Opry 100 album is more than just a compilation; it’s a carefully curated journey through a century of country music’s most impactful moments. The Opry 100 album boasts 20 tracks that have been selected through fan engagement, ensuring that the songs resonate deeply with the audience that has supported the Opry for generations. These are not mere studio recordings, but powerful live country recordings that highlight the raw talent and emotional depth characteristic of the Grand Ole Opry’s greatest country songs.

The collection includes a diverse range of artists, featuring both country music legends and contemporary stars. Among the featured performances are Ashley McBryde’s rendition of Hank Williams’ classic “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” which also serves as the album’s first single released on July 30. Other notable tracks on the Opry 100 album include The Charlie Daniels Band’s electrifying “Devil Went Down to Georgia,” Johnny Cash’s iconic “Ring of Fire,” and Darius Rucker’s heartfelt “Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’.” The Opry 100 album also showcases timeless hits like Patsy Cline’s “Crazy,” Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” performed by beloved Opry members and guest artists. The inclusion of “full circle mixes” and collaborations further enhances the Opry 100 album’s unique appeal, bridging different eras of country music history.

Partnership and Vision for the Opry 100 Album

The collaboration between the Grand Ole Opry and Virgin Music Group underscores the significance of this milestone. Jacqueline Saturn, President of North America and EVP, Global Artist Relations at Virgin Music Group, described the partnership as a “huge career milestone” and emphasized the Opry’s status as “the pinnacle of success and greatness in country music.” Saturn expressed anticipation for fans worldwide to experience this “incredible collection” from the Opry 100 album.

Dan Rogers, Executive Vice President and Executive Producer of the Grand Ole Opry, highlighted the Opry 100 album’s role in celebrating the Opry’s centennial. “For me, this collection of great songs truly captures the spirit of the Opry and our centennial celebration,” Rogers stated. He elaborated that the songs, voted on by fans, are brought to life through “remarkable live recordings pulled from our rich Opry Archives.” He further noted the project’s historic nature, encompassing debuts of classic songs, covers by current Opry members, and unique vocal collaborations, all featured on the Opry 100 album.

A Centennial Celebration: The Opry 100 Album at its Core

The release of the Opry 100 album is a central element of the Grand Ole Opry’s extensive year-long centennial celebration. This commemoration has included special shows, Opry debuts, and even an international broadcast from London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Opry also hosted a major television event, ‘Opry 100: A Live Celebration,’ which aired on NBC in March 2025, featuring numerous Opry members and tributes to the genre’s country music history. The celebrations are set to continue well into 2026, including performances at Carnegie Hall.

A Timeless Tribute: The Opry 100 Album’s Enduring Legacy

The Opry 100 album represents an unparalleled opportunity for music lovers to connect with the enduring legacy of the Grand Ole Opry. By featuring previously unreleased live country recordings from its legendary stage, the Opry 100 album offers a tangible piece of country music album heritage. This new album serves as a testament to the Opry’s pivotal role in shaping country music and its continuous influence on artists and fans across the globe. As the Opry embarks on its second century, the Opry 100 album stands as a powerful reminder of the music and the memories that have made it an American institution, featuring country music legends.
