Country Music’s Chart Climbers: Jessie Murph Leads as Trisha Yearwood Makes Top 5 Debut

Hana ChenHana ChenJune 27, 20252 Minutes read

The week of June 27, 2025, is shaping up to be an exciting time for country music enthusiasts, with a fresh wave of releases offering a diverse range of sounds and storytelling. Leading the pack is Jessie Murph, whose powerful new track “Heroine” has claimed the highly coveted No. 1 spot on the charts. Murph’s ascent signals a significant moment for emerging artists in the genre.

Close behind at No. 4 is Ella Langley, who teams up with fellow artist Hardy for their collaboration “Never Met Anyone Like You.” This track has been particularly noted for its compelling structure, featuring a dramatic shift in energy and musicality after the second chorus. Hardy’s influence, leaning into a more rock-infused sound, is particularly palpable in this section, adding a dynamic edge to the song that has resonated with listeners.

Securing the No. 3 position is Gavin Adcock, whose latest offering, “Last One to Know,” is being celebrated for its raw and honest songwriting. Adcock’s ability to connect with audiences through candid lyricism continues to be a hallmark of his work, and this song is no exception.

Making a strong return and landing at No. 5 is the legendary Trisha Yearwood with her new song, “The Mirror.” Yearwood’s enduring presence in country music is undeniable, and this latest release proves her continued relevance and ability to craft compelling narratives that strike a chord with fans old and new.

Parker McCollum’s contributions to the current country landscape are also being recognized this week, underscoring the breadth of talent making waves. Meanwhile, Tucker Wetmore is turning heads with his cleverly written, uptempo breakup song titled “3,2,1.” Wetmore’s knack for crafting relatable and catchy tunes positions him as an artist to watch.

An honorable mention goes to Ashley McBryde for her song “Rattlesnake Preacher.” McBryde consistently delivers robust, character-driven songs, and “Rattlesnake Preacher” is a testament to her distinctive voice within the genre.

This week also highlights Russell Dickerson as a breakout artist of 2025, with his song “Happen to Me” being singled out as a potential career-defining moment. Dickerson’s inclusion on the radar suggests a growing momentum that could see him achieve significant success in the coming year.

Adding to the week’s notable releases is Blake Shelton’s much-anticipated return with his new single “Texas.” This marks Shelton’s first new solo material in two years, and critics are already hailing it as his best work in at least five. The track represents a significant milestone for the beloved artist, signaling a renewed creative energy.

The collective impact of these artists, from established powerhouses like Yearwood and Shelton to rising stars like Murph and Wetmore, paints a vibrant picture of the current country music scene. The blend of traditional storytelling with contemporary sounds ensures that the genre continues to evolve and captivate a broad audience, offering something for every country music aficionado.
