Country Music Scene Buzzes with International Tours, New Releases, and Opry Highlights: June 30 – July 6, 2025

The country music landscape was alive with activity during the week of June 30 to July 6, 2025, as artists announced ambitious international ventures, unveiled new music, and graced iconic stages. From stadium tours to intimate club sets and a burgeoning UK scene, the genre offered a wealth of news for fans.

Aldean Expands ‘Full Throttle’ Globally, Announces Australian Debut

Jason Aldean has significantly expanded his FULL THROTTLE TOUR, confirming international dates that will take him to New Zealand and Australia in 2026. This highly anticipated international leg will see Aldean not only performing his hits but also headlining the inaugural Sunburnt Country music experience. The festival will host Aldean in Toowoomba, the Hunter Valley, and Canberra, with Corey Kent and Brad Cox slated to open these Australian performances.

New Music Drops and Opry Performances

The week also saw the release of new material from established artists. Lee Brice dropped his latest single, “Said No Country Boy Ever,” a track that boasts a powerful collaboration with Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Jerrod Niemann, Dallas Davidson, and Rob Hatch. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Erin Enderlin presented a new song on the famed Grand Ole Opry stage on June 28, accompanied by her veteran co-writers, marking a significant moment for the artist.

Church Offers Immersive Live Experience, Lynch on Club Sets

Eric Church is set to provide fans with a unique, immersive musical experience through a trilogy of shows scheduled for July 14-16. These performances will be streamed live as pay-per-view events via the nugs.net platform, offering fans a new way to connect with Church’s music.

In a different approach to live performances, Dustin Lynch has been discussing his club sets, which notably feature remixes of his popular songs, offering a fresh take on his catalog for more intimate venues.

Independent Releases and Holiday Themes

Independent artists also made their mark this week. Justine Blazer released a collaboration titled “4th of July,” a patriotic-themed track featuring Rob Mayes and Steve O’Brien. The holiday also inspired discussion from established artists, with Jordan Davis sharing his ideal celebration for the 4th of July, and Alan Jackson reminiscing about his favorite Independence Day memories.

Chart Activity and Emerging Talent

On the charts, Ella Langley’s track “Weren’t For The Wind” continued its strong performance, climbing to the #3 position. Morgan Wallen’s song “I Got Better” was highlighted as the week’s spin gainer and most added song, indicating significant momentum. Further cementing Langley’s success, the CDX Weekly Charts for July 2, 2025, placed her at #1, with Morgan Wallen again noted as a significant spin gainer.

Erin Kinsey is embarking on her headlining “Gettin’ Away with It” tour, a significant undertaking that includes international dates, signaling an expanding reach for the artist.

UK Country Scene Celebrates Finalists and Festival Appearances

The United Kingdom’s country music scene is abuzz with the announcement of the finalists for the 2025 UK Country Music Awards. Guy Surtees leads the pack with four nominations, alongside other distinguished finalists including Anthony O’Neill, Chasing Twisters, Emma Jane, Helena Mace, Dan Russell, Dave Sutherland, Florence Sommerville, Liz Clarke, and Sarah Louise. The prestigious awards ceremony is slated for September 27, 2025.

Looking ahead, Taynee Lord is scheduled to perform at the Somerstock Festival on July 12, 2025, adding another exciting date to the UK’s summer festival calendar.

Opry Lineup and Benefit Concert Additions

The Grand Ole Opry’s July schedule features a distinguished lineup of performers, including Drew Baldridge, Pam Tillis, Crystal Gayle, Trisha Yearwood, and Zach Williams, promising a month of memorable performances from legendary and rising stars.

In other news, Craig Campbell has announced Tayler Holder as a new addition to his upcoming Kenny Campbell Foundation Benefit Concert on July 24, 2025. Holder will join previously announced performers Michael Ray and Bryan White for the charity event.
