Academy of Country Music Unveils Special Awards Honorees for Landmark 60th Anniversary Celebration

T-BoneT-BoneJuly 10, 20252 Minutes read

The Academy of Country Country Music (ACM) has officially announced the distinguished recipients of its coveted Special Awards, set to be celebrated as part of the landmark 60th Academy of Country Music Awards. This year’s honorees, a roster of influential figures and enduring talents, include Lori Badgett, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Mac McAnally, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis, the production entity known as “Twisters,” and Ben Vaughn. These individuals and entities will be recognized at the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors, an esteemed ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The prestigious event will take place at The Pinnacle in Nashville, a fitting venue to acknowledge the significant contributions these honorees have made to the country music landscape.

Celebrating Industry and Studio Recording Excellence

The ACM Honors ceremony serves a vital purpose within the broader awards season, specifically dedicating this particular event to celebrating the winners of the industry and studio recording awards associated with the 60th ACM Awards. This allows for a focused appreciation of the technical craftsmanship and behind-the-scenes expertise that are crucial to the creation of hit country music.

Among the night’s highlighted recipients is ACM Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson, who will also receive the esteemed Artist-Songwriter of the Year award. Her dual recognition underscores her significant impact as both a captivating performer and a talented writer. Complementing this, Jessie Jo Dillon will be honored as Songwriter of the Year, acknowledging her exceptional contributions to the lyrical and melodic architecture of country music.

Producers and Studio Virtuosos Take the Stage

The technical excellence celebrated at the ACM Honors is further exemplified by the recognition of Dave Cobb, who secures his seventh ACM Award for Producer of the Year. This consistent acclaim speaks volumes about Cobb’s prolific and impactful career shaping the sound of contemporary country music.

In the realm of instrumental prowess, Brent Mason is set to receive his twelfth Studio Recording Award, a testament to his enduring legacy as one of country music’s most sought-after guitarists. Adding to his significant accolades, Mason will also accept his first-ever award for Electric Guitar Player of the Year, solidifying his status as a master of his craft.

The breadth of talent in studio recording is further showcased by additional award winners. Drew Bollman will be recognized as Audio Engineer of the Year, acknowledging his skill in capturing and refining sound. Alex Wright is celebrated for his work as Piano/Keyboards Player of the Year, and Craig Young will receive the award for Bass Player of the Year, highlighting the fundamental rhythm section that anchors so many country hits.

Tickets and Access for ACM Honors

Fans eager to witness these notable achievements and celebrate the honorees will have opportunities to secure tickets for the ACM Honors™ ceremony. A special pre-sale period will commence on July 10, offering ACM A-List email newsletter subscribers and active Academy members the first chance to purchase tickets. Following the pre-sale, the general public on-sale will begin on July 11. Tickets will be available for purchase through the ticketing platform AXS, providing a clear channel for fans to attend this significant event.

The 18th Academy of Country Music Honors promises to be a memorable evening, paying tribute to the artists, songwriters, and technical wizards who have defined and continue to shape the vibrant sound of country music, particularly in the context of the 60th ACM Awards.
