Two Ways Home Ignite Summer with New Anthem ‘Hot Rain’ Amidst Major Festival Circuit

Shanice WilliamsShanice WilliamsAugust 20, 20254 Minutes read

UK-based folk-rock and country duo Two Ways Home are set to electrify the summer music scene with their latest single, ‘Hot Rain’, a vibrant new anthem slated for official release on August 25. An exclusive pre-release for eager fans is available on their official website, TwoWaysHome.com, starting August 21. This new music arrives as the dynamic duo prepares for a packed summer schedule, featuring performances at prestigious festivals across the UK, cementing their position as a significant force in the evolving British country music landscape.

The Journey of Two Ways Home: Crafting a Unique Country Sound

Comprised of Vienna-born Isabella Mariee and Gloucestershire native Lewis Fowler, Two Ways Home formed in London in 2014, a partnership ignited by a pivotal trip to Nashville in 2012. This experience profoundly shaped their musical direction, leading them to fuse their diverse backgrounds into a distinctive folk-rock sound infused with a country twist. Their music effortlessly blends modern country-pop sensibilities with authentic, earthy storytelling, characterized by their signature soaring vocal harmonies, catchy melodies, and the driving force of rocky guitars.

Over the years, Two Ways Home has cultivated a rich discography, including six EPs and their acclaimed debut album, ‘Break The Silence,’ released in February 2020. Notable EPs like ‘Wood For Trees’ (March 2015) and ‘Better Days’ (December 2015) garnered significant praise, with the latter hailed as a “stunning piece of art.” Their consistent output of singles, such as “Signals in the Smoke,” “Just For Now,” and “Closest Stranger,” has further solidified their reputation and expanded their devoted fanbase. The duo’s blend of influences, drawing comparisons to artists like Lady Antebellum, The Civil Wars, Mumford and Sons, Fleetwood Mac, and The Eagles, showcases their versatility and broad appeal within the country music genre and beyond.

Their dedication and unique sound have not gone unnoticed within the music industry. Two Ways Home has received extensive radio play across the UK and Europe, earned features in prominent publications such as Maverick Magazine and Record Collector, and were described by The Sun for their “…crystal clear harmonies tinged with melancholy.” Their talent has also been recognized through multiple BCMA (British Country Music Association) nominations for Best Band/Duo, and they were the Best Duo/Band Winner at the 2020 Country Music Spotlight Awards.

‘Hot Rain’: A Nostalgic Summer Anthem

‘Hot Rain’ emerges as a poignant yet invigorating addition to the duo’s repertoire, described as a “nostalgic, pulse-raising anthem that channels the energy of a fleeting summer romance.” The track masterfully combines a contemporary country-pop polish with the profound lyrical charm and evocative imagery that listeners have come to expect from Two Ways Home. Its creation during a writing trip and subsequent recording sessions held between tour dates underscores the duo’s commitment to their craft amidst a demanding schedule. The song builds on the momentum of recent releases in 2025, including “Patience to Play” and “She Keeps Time Like A Casio,” the latter exploring themes of nostalgia and the endearing quirks of everyday life. This new single serves as a vibrant prelude to their highly anticipated second full-length album, expected later this year, promising to expand on their signature sound and storytelling depth.

A Festival-Packed Summer for Two Ways Home

Two Ways Home is poised for a busy summer of live performances, offering fans multiple opportunities to experience their captivating live show. Their festival appearances highlight their growing presence across the UK music scene:

* The Long Road Festival (August 22): The duo will be a featured act at The Long Road Festival in Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, a premier event celebrating country, Americana, and roots music. Their involvement includes both a dedicated set on the Front Porch stage and a special edition of ‘The Round Up’ – their intimate, Nashville-style songwriters’ event, which has recently expanded its reach beyond its London base to cities across the UK.

* Car Fest (August 24): On August 24, Two Ways Home will take the stage at Car Fest, held at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire. This widely recognized family fundraising festival provides a broad platform for the duo to reach a diverse audience, contributing to a cause that combines entertainment with charitable giving.

* Foodies Festival, Oxford (August 25): The duo’s summer circuit concludes on August 25 at the Foodies Festival in South Park, Oxford. This vibrant festival, known for its celebration of culinary excellence and live music, offers another unique setting for Two Ways Home to share their new music and engage with a dynamic crowd.

These festival dates are crucial for independent artists like Two Ways Home, allowing them to connect directly with a wider audience, showcase new material like ‘Hot Rain,’ and further build their following as they continue to redefine modern country music in Britain.

Independent Spirit and Future Horizons

As independent artists, Isabella and Lewis have consistently highlighted the importance of direct fan support, viewing early purchases of their music as a vital way to sustain their independent journey. Their commitment to their artistic vision and their hands-on approach to their career have been key to their success and their ability to forge a unique path within the competitive music industry. Their recent tours, including taking “The Round Up” on the road, exemplify their proactive engagement with their fanbase across the country.

With ‘Hot Rain’ serving as a powerful new chapter, and a second full-length album on the horizon, Two Ways Home continues to be a captivating presence in the UK country and Americana scene. Their blend of compelling narratives, exquisite harmonies, and genre-bending sound ensures that their musical journey remains one to watch.
