Country Music Scene Buzzes with Major Tours, Festivals, and Awards Season Preparations

Rohan JoshiRohan JoshiJune 15, 20252 Minutes read

The country music landscape is alive with activity as major tours gear up for launch, renowned festivals approach, and the industry gears up for its prestigious awards season. Fans are set for a summer packed with performances from some of the genre’s biggest stars.

Morgan Wallen Kicks Off “I’m The Problem Tour”

Morgan Wallen is poised to launch his highly anticipated “I’m The Problem Tour” on June 20 in Houston, Texas. The extensive stadium tour will feature 19 massive dates across the country, promising a spectacular live experience for his dedicated fanbase. Adding to the star power, the tour is set to include special collaborations with some of country music’s most beloved artists: Miranda Lambert, the legendary duo Brooks & Dunn, and chart-topping singer Thomas Rhett. Beyond the electrifying performances, the “I’m The Problem Tour” also carries a philanthropic mission. A portion of the proceeds generated from ticket sales will be directly donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to supporting youth music and sports programs, underscoring Wallen’s commitment to fostering opportunities for young people in creative and athletic endeavors.

Country Jam Festival Returns with Diverse Lineup

Western Colorado will once again host the 28th annual Country Jam festival, a celebrated event scheduled to take place in Grand Junction from June 26–28. This year’s festival is shaping up to be a significant showcase of genre diversity, drawing a wide array of talent. Headlining the event are country music powerhouses Luke Bryan, Bailey Zimmerman, and Cody Johnson, each bringing their unique sound and massive appeal to the festival stage. The lineup also features a strong roster of supporting artists, including the enduring talent of Tracy Lawrence and the rising popularity of Flatland Cavalry, ensuring a memorable experience for attendees who appreciate the breadth of country music.

Lainey Wilson Headlines Summerfest Amidst Acclaim

Fresh off her recent CMA Entertainer of the Year award win, Lainey Wilson is set to command the stage as a headliner at Milwaukee’s iconic Summerfest on June 26. This performance is a key date on her “Whirlwind Tour,” which continues to captivate audiences nationwide. Wilson’s commanding stage presence and authentic storytelling have solidified her status as one of country music’s most compelling artists, and her Summerfest appearance is highly anticipated by fans in the region.

CMA Fest Concludes with Record Success, Awards Ballots Released

The recent conclusion of the 52nd annual CMA Fest in Nashville marked another milestone for the beloved music event. The festival, which wrapped up recently, saw record attendance, drawing an unprecedented number of country music enthusiasts to Music City. Spanning across 11 stages, the event featured an astonishing lineup of over 400 artists, offering a comprehensive experience of the genre’s past, present, and future. Demonstrating its commitment to community and education, CMA Fest once again directed a portion of its proceeds to support vital music education programs, reinforcing the festival’s role as a cornerstone of industry support. In parallel with the ongoing festival season, the Country Music Association has also released the schedule for the CMA Awards 2025 ballot. With the eligibility period for nominations rapidly approaching its close, artists and industry professionals will be submitting their nomination ballots in July, signaling the beginning of the process for country music’s most prestigious awards.

The convergence of major tours, significant festival appearances, and the annual awards season preparation paints a vibrant picture of the current state of country music. From stadium spectacles to community-focused festivals and the anticipation of industry accolades, the genre continues to thrive and engage a passionate global audience.
