The country music landscape is buzzing with a fresh wave of talent and new material as early June 2025 unfolds, signaling a vibrant period for fans of the genre. Highlighting the week’s releases are significant offerings from Iowa-native singer-songwriter Hailey Whitters and the rapidly ascending Lanie Gardner.

Hailey Whitters Unveils “Corn Queen”

On June 9, Hailey Whitters, an artist deeply connected to her Midwestern roots, debuted her extensive 16-song album titled “Corn Queen.” Released under the joint venture of Pigasus Records, Big Loud Records, and Songs & Daughters, the project was skillfully produced by Jake Gear. The album delves into Whitters’ experiences and reflections on her upbringing, promising a rich narrative for listeners. Adding further depth and star power, “Corn Queen” features guest appearances from acclaimed artists Molly Tuttle, Charles Wesley Godwin, and the popular group The Wilder Blue, further cementing Whitters’ place within the contemporary country music scene.

Lanie Gardner’s “Polaroids” Arrives

Coinciding with Whitters’ album release, Lanie Gardner, an artist already garnering significant attention as a “2025 Artist to Watch” by both the Recording Academy/GRAMMY and Amazon Music, unveiled her much-anticipated six-track EP, “Polaroids.” Released through BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, this collection is being celebrated for its vivid storytelling and emotionally resonant soundscapes, which promise to connect deeply with audiences. The EP’s release marks a significant milestone for Gardner, whose trajectory in the industry has been closely monitored following her early acclaim.

A Diverse Array of New Music

Beyond these prominent releases, the “New Music this Week” report showcases a broad spectrum of talent and diverse sounds emerging in the country and Americana spheres. Louie TheSinger has made his debut with the album “One For The Hometown,” accompanied by a music video for his track “Making On My Way.” The album signals the arrival of a new voice in the genre, offering a personal narrative reflective of his roots.

Adding to the influx of new projects is the debut album “Made To Wander” from the New Orleans-based duo Crowe Boys, whose sound is expected to bring a unique flavor to the country music conversation. Furthermore, Iam Tongi has released a new track titled “Unbreak My Heart,” offering a fresh perspective on a classic theme. The report also provides a glimpse into future releases, noting that Ruston Kelly’s forthcoming album, “Pale, Through the Window,” is slated for release on September 12, a date eagerly anticipated by his dedicated fanbase.

Chris Lane is also mentioned in the report as having a new release this week, contributing to the robust output from established artists.

“Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets” Continues to Make Waves

Adding to the week’s notable releases, although debuting slightly earlier on June 6, is Rascal Flatts’ album “Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets.” This project revisits some of the iconic band’s most beloved hits, reimagined through collaborations with a star-studded lineup of artists. Guests such as Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean lend their voices to these updated versions, offering a contemporary take on the band’s classic catalog. The album reportedly explores genre blending, showcasing the enduring appeal of Rascal Flatts’ music and their willingness to innovate through collaborations.

The collective output from these artists paints a picture of a thriving and evolving country music scene, offering fans a rich variety of new sounds, stories, and artistic expressions to explore throughout June and beyond.
